The GammaRAE II R is a gamma radiation detector and full-range dosimeter. This PRD can detect Gamma and X-Ray radiation. The GammaRAE was designed for first responder personnel so it’s great for the rest of us too! Due to its high sensitivity at low radiation levels it can alert you of the presence of a radiation threat long before you’re in danger of a health-threatening level.

Alarm Settings:

     DOSE RATE: In SEARCH mode alarm threshold is based on variations in local background levels
     DOSE RATE: In SAFETY mode alarm thresholds are user progammable. Low and high thresholds based on does rate
     DOSE: User programmable low and high alarm thresholds based on dose
     STAY TIME: Alarms vary by time (3 minutes to 2 hours, once per minute; less than 3 minutes, once every 5 seconds; 0 minutes and beyond, same as dose alarm)
